(Sliced) Brisket - Heating Instructions
-
Brisket arrives fully cooked, chilled/frozen, and vacuum-sealed to preserve peak flavor & moisture.
Storage
-
Brisket is vacuum sealed and ships frozen or chilled with ice packs which may evaporate in transit.
-
Although each box is carefully packed with ice packs and picked up for immediate shipment, it is normal for the meat and ice packs to partially or fully thaw during shipment.
-
Upon arrival, place item in the refrigerator or freezer depending on desired use.
-
Item may be stored in the refrigerator if you plan to consume within 4 days. Or if you plan to consume it after, place in the freezer and consume within 6 months.
Heating Instructions
-
STEP 1: Defrost brisket in the refrigerator. Brisket arrives smoked and fully cooked. So the objective is to just reheat.
-
STEP 2: Preheat oven to 225 F.
-
STEP 3: Remove brisket from the vacuum-sealed package.
-
STEP 4: Wrap brisket in aluminum foil or Place brisket in a baking pan and cover tightly with foil. (Tip: Add a 1/4 stick of butter to keep everything moist.)
-
STEP 5: Reheat for about 30-45 minutes or until the brisket is soft & warm (to your preference), tender, aromatic, and the juices/fat has melted or rendered.
-
Check every 15 minutes to ensure the brisket is not overcooked!
-
-
STEP 6: Carefully remove from oven and baste the brisket slices in its own juices.
-
STEP 7: Rest brisket for at least 5 minutes before eating.
-
STEP 8: Enjoy!
Alternative Method (Souse Vide): Place (unopened) vacuum sealed brisket slices in deep baking pan. Add water to the baking pan. Enough to cover the vacuum sealed brisket. Place in over at 225 F for about 30-45 minutes (or until the brisket is warm, pliable, tender, and the fat melted). Carefully turn the brisket over in the pan midway through the heating process. Carefully remove from oven (exercise caution as the contents in the pan are hot) and allow to cool for 5-10 minutes. Next, carefully remove the brisket from the vacuum sealed package. Baste the brisket slices in its own juices. Lastly, enjoy!
